Each ported enclosure contains 2 high-quality audio drivers — one 4″ glass fiber cone woofer and one 1″ silk-dome tweeter, together capable of faithfully reproducing a wide frequency range of 55Hz – 20Khz. The enclosure, cross-over, and amplifier maintain a nearly flat reproduction of audio frequencies across the entire spectrum.
Plugable Performance Studio Monitors
The Audio Drivers. Brass and black colored cones of awesome sound.
The Amplifier. Built-in self-powered speakers, no separate amp required.
The speakers feature an integrated 55 watt Class D, 2-channel amplifier with built-in crossover to deliver clean, crisp power to the appropriate drivers. Bass and treble adjustments allow you to easily tune the speakers to your preferences and room acoustics for the best listening experience.
Wired RCA & 3.5mm Connectivity. The near-universal standards.
The standard RCA connector is nearly ubiquitous in the audio and home theater world. This enables an analog connection between your audio source directly to the speakers without a proprietary cable. The included RCA-to-3.5mm audio cable makes it easy for most gaming-grade PCs and laptops to connect.
Wired Optical Connectivity. Keep your audio free of radio interference.
A direct optical connection can be made with the included TOSLINK cable. This allows digital audio signals to stream between your device and the speakers without any pre-processing. Many modern gaming PC's feature optical audio links, and we recommend this for the cleanest possible sound. Tower-style PCs often have radio interference in their rear connection points which can create line noise in standard RCA & 3.5mm wired connections, but many now feature TOSLINK connections which can be a great alternative.
Remote Control. Sit back and relax.
The Plugable Performance Studio monitors include an IR remote control. If you happen to misplace it, the speakers can still be controlled from the buttons at the top of the primary speaker.
